Applicants: The ANS Carlsbad section offers a $1,000 Scholarship this year

The Carlsbad Chapter of the American Nuclear Society is pleased to provide an academic scholarship to a high school senior or college student who is a resident of Eddy County in New Mexico. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate an interest in pursuing study and/or a career in nuclear energy, nuclear science, nuclear medicine, nuclear engineering, radiochemistry, health physics or related field. Preference will be provided to students who are members of the American Nuclear Society or members of a chapter of the American Nuclear Society. The scholarship value depends on the scholarship fund value at the time of the award.

The ANS-C Scholarship value is $1,000. The recipient of the 2024 ANS Carlsbad Section Scholarship is Zechariah Char. Zechariah is a graduate of the Carlsbad High School.

For the 2025 ANS Carlsbad Section Scholarship, we encourage applicants from Carlsbad HS, Loving HS, Carlsbad JMA, and Carlsbad Early College to contact their high school counselor for information about available scholarships, how to apply and deadlines.
